Jordan Griffin vs. Youssef Zalal added to June 27 UFC show in Las Vegas

Jordan Griffin has another fight booked in the UFC.

“Native Psycho” planned on facing Darrick Minner on June 13, but the bout was scratched from the UFC event after his opponent missed weight. Griffin will now fight Youssef Zalal on June 27, sources told MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck following a report from ESPN.

Zalal, a longtime LFA veteran, defeated Austin Lingo in his UFC debut in February, improving to 8-2 as a mixed martial artist. The fight marked the first time “The Moroccan Devil” needed the full three rounds to win as a professional.

Griffin (18-7), who signed with the UFC after defeating Maurice Mitchell on Dana White’s Contender Series, scored his first octagon victory with a second-round guillotine submission of T.J. Brown in February, bouncing back from losses to Dan Ige and Chas Skelly.

The Fight Night card will be headlined by lightweights Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker, while Mike Perry battles Mickey Gall in a welterweight co-main event bout.
