01 Jan MMA fighters commemorate Juneteenth on social media
On June 19, 1865, Gen. Gordon Granger gave federal orders announcing the freedom all slaves in Texas. Now, 155 years later, the day is known as Juneteenth and is officially recognized as a state holiday in Texas.
