Nate Diaz trolls UFC 251 main event: ‘I get paid more than both of you,’ Usman responds

As he often does, UFC Nate Diaz is back to trolling his promoter’s big news.

The UFC star blasted UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman and No. 1 contender Gilbert Burns after the promotion announced the top 170-pound fighters will headline UFC 251 on July 11 on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

“This is what’s wrong with people claiming they’re fighters settling for less cause they know they’re not worth shit you should’ve fought the next guy in line not the guy who would take less cause he’s told too that’s why no one will remember you guys,” Diaz wrote, adding, “This isn’t a title fight.”

And for good measure, Diaz threw in a jab about his pay rate.

I get paid more than both of you together
Fuck @Reebok

And then switched it up to throw a little extra shade on the UFC’s apparel partner.

I get paid more than both of you together
+ FUCK REEBOK

In his first tweet, Diaz referred to a standoff between the UFC and top welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal, who was expected to take on Usman for the belt before a dispute over pay. Masvidal claimed the promotion was asking him to take a pay cut for a title fight and indicated the promotion should release him if it didn’t value his services.

Masvidal’s most recent fight came against Diaz for the one-off “BMF” title at UFC 244. Masvidal won the fight via third-round TKO when the cageside doctor called off the fight due to a cut on Diaz.

Afterward, Diaz pined for a rematch against the “BMF” champ before reports of a pending trilogy against two-division champ Conor McGregor.

Usman reportedly signed a new six-fight contract upon agreeing to fight Burns, who earlier this month dominated ex-champ Tyron Woodley to up his current winning streak to six bouts.

The welterweight champ made it clear he wasn’t taking any of Diaz’s flack. In a bullet-pointed rebuttal of the UFC star’s claims, he lifted up Burns, with whom he shares a manager in Ali Abdelaziz and a coach in Henri Hooft, as a welterweight contender. He also did a little MMA math on Masvidal.

Let’s state some facts here:
