UFC Vegas 11 in Tweets: Fighters react to Colby Covington’s dominance, Khamzat Chimaev’s fast knockout

After a high-paced night of impressive finishes, the grudge match years in the making between Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley wasn’t close to the fiery fight many expected.

Instead, Covington took down a listless Woodley round after round before an injury to the former undisputed champ brought a swift end to the fight at the 1:19 mark of the fifth and final round.

As far as action in the cage, there were other bright spots throughout the night, none more than the 17-second knockout win of Khamzat Chimaev, which left fighters’ jaws open.

Below is how fighters reacted to UFC Vegas 11.

Colby Covington stops Tyron Woodley

Man Trump bout to win again

— Kevin MTP Lee (@MoTownPhenom) September 20, 2020

Love him or hate him Covington can fight ! @ColbyCovMMA Very hard to see this last stretch of fights for my man @TWooodley. That’s like 15 rounds in a row where he hasn’t been able to get going. Gotta take a real look at what’s next. But great win by Colby!!

— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) September 20, 2020

Still got herpes

— BONY (@JonnyBones) September 20, 2020

— Michael Chiesa (@MikeMav22) September 20, 2020

— Tatiana Suarez (@tatianaufc) September 20, 2020

— Platinum Mike Perry (@PlatinumPerry) September 20, 2020

Colby up 3 RDs. Can’t deny that he is a cardio machine. Still 10min left for Woodley to open up and land something big, like he has in the past. He’s gotta want this tho. Colby wants it. #UFCVegas11

— Aljamain Sterling (@funkmasterMMA) September 20, 2020

I would like to see @TWooodley go forward and wrestle him and then look for punches with his wrestling!!

— Platinum Mike Perry (@PlatinumPerry) September 20, 2020

Is an alien growing out of Colbys left shoulder blade? #UFCVegas11

— Zak Cummings (@ZakCummings) September 20, 2020

10-9 Colby. Tyron needs to patiently go forward and use combos, work behind the jab, mix in low kicks etc. doing his old usual thing in the second half of the round.colby having a problem with range though.

— michael (@bisping) September 20, 2020

Throw the Thor Hammer Woodley!!! #UFCVegas11

— BONY (@JonnyBones) September 20, 2020

If Woodley wins after the first minute I would be utterly shocked. I think he has one minute to win.
